Psychology Club

The Psych Club is a registered student organization at Syracuse University that provides opportunities for students to enhance their understanding and appreciation of psychology through social activities, professional development events and community service.

How to Join

Any undergraduate or graduate Syracuse University or SUNY ESF student who has an interest in psychology can join the Psychology Club. Members must pay annual $5 membership dues and attend a minimum of one Psych Club meeting or event per semester to be considered a member.

Full-time Syracuse University students who are Psychology Club members and who have a GPA of 2.2 or higher are eligible to hold club Executive Board positions.

Psi Chi

Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, was founded for the purpose of promoting excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate students who are making psychology one of their major interests and who meet the academic qualifications.

How to Join
Admission to Psi Chi is by application only. The requirements for membership into the Syracuse University chapter of Psi Chi are as follows:
  • Be enrolled as a major or minor in a psychology program
  • Have completed at least 3 semesters or equivalent of full-time college coursework
  • Have completed at least 9 semester credit hours of psychology courses
  • Have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA average for psychology courses
  • Payment of one-time $55 fee for lifetime membership to Psi Chi*
    * Instructions on submitting the fee will be sent via email following review of your Psi Chi application.

Applications for the Spring 2019 semester are closed.

New York Delta / Nu Rho Psi

The National Honor Society in Neuroscience, Nu Rho Psi or New York Delta, is a nonprofit, grass-roots organization for those with a professional interest and excellence in neuroscience scholarship. The chapter is open to graduate students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Neuroscience Concentration (I-GNC) and to undergraduates in the Neuroscience ILM. Faculty members and alumni of eithre programs may also apply.

New York Delta is currently accepting applications for membership.
